So… || Luke&Nicole.

As soon as Luke saw Nicole, he felt himself relax and a smile immediately appeared on his face. He could feel her small arms around him as he leaned in for a hug too. “Hey yourself.” Giving her a little squeeze, Luke felt his smile grow just a tiny bit bigger. “I’ve been pretty good,” He said as he pulled out, but he still kept his arms around her, not letting go fully. There was just something about Nicole that made Luke want to hold her forever. She was so tiny and adorable. It made Luke feel whole when she was with him. “How ‘bout you?”

Luke didn’t really know how he was going to ease into this topic with Nicole. The first time he did it, it didn’t go so well. To have Nicole as his girlfriend would be one of the most awesomest things ever. That’s pretty much how Luke would explain it. He’s never wanted someone as bad as he wanted her. “So, uhm,” He then let go of his grasp on Nicole, hoping that he wasn’t stepping over any boundaries while he was holding her. Sure they were best friends and everything, but what if she didn’t want to act so.. affectionate so soon? He’d rather be safe than sorry. Walking over to her bed, he plopped down on it, waving for her to come over. “I.. uh..” He chuckled slightly, smiling awkwardly. Luke never did know how to say things correctly. “I wanted to talk to you about something.” 

Once Nicole sat beside him, he angled his body so that he could face her more. He took her tiny hands in his, taking a tiny deep breath. “I just wanna let everything out first, before you say something. Kay?” Luke bit his lip, hoping she would agree. 

Nicole shrugged her shoulders as she let Luke walk into her room, with her family and all the drama she was okay. “I’ve been good, just kinda wired awake right now.” For some reason Nicole had been anxious, it could have been the impending marriage of her father to her dread step mother but she didn’t like to admit that out loud. The thought mostly hung in the back of her mind messing with her when she least expected it. Luke managed to make Nicole feel somewhat normal about the entire situation. 

Lingering at her door Nicole smiled as Luke sat down on her bed, they had reached the point of comfortable together. She was always comfortable around him even after they had hooked up in the Home Ec room, things were still somehow okay with them. Whatever they were. “That’s normally something my mom says before I get a lecture about something I’ve been doing wrong.” Nicole laughed a little sitting down on her bed next to him.

When Luke took her hands she looked down at them and then back into his eyes, her eyebrows slightly furrowed about what he was going to tell her. They were always open with each other so she was slightly nervous about what Luke needed to get off his chest. “Okay, my lips are sealed.” She nodded her head up and down quickly. “I hope I’m not in trouble.” she laughed a little then regained composure since Luke seemed to want to talk to her about something important.

Luke’s palms were sweating, and a rush of nervousness came over him. Sure, he was typically socially awkward, but not around Nicole. Never around Nicole. Except for now; this time, he had been rehearsing everything he had planned to say in his head and imagined how it would go down. Luke had his expectations set low this time. He had been rejected once by Nicole, and being rejected a second time wasn’t gonna go well for him. They were just going to talk, Luke had to remind himself of that. He wouldn’t ask his “question” until it was the right time. 

Pulling on his hoodie over his arms, he grabbed his shoes and slipped them on quickly. Then in the same fashion, he walked over to Nicole’s dorm. He didn’t know why he was walking so fast, it might have been from the amount of adrenaline rushing through him at the moment. Once he got in front of Nicole’s dorm room though, he felt himself come to a stop. This is it, Luke thought to himself. There was a lot at stake here. Luke lost Nicole once, he sure as hell wasn’t going to lose her again.

Knocking on the door, Luke bit his lip, waiting for Nicole to answer the door. 

Nicole had been slightly worried when Luke had asked to talk to her, normally things were simple with things. Currently there was some sort of limbo between the two of them, she just wanted everything to be normal again. The normal she wanted was slightly confusing because she did have feelings for him but she was unsure what he wanted from the relationship. Sitting on her bed, Nicole twisted a strand of hair around her finger as she tried to think of what was going to be said between them. Her long hair had been slightly matted due to running a hand through her hair every hour out of some restless feeling.

Letting out a sigh, Nicole fell backwards on her bed looking at the ceiling. Her feet were tapping on the ground as she waited for Luke to show up. The sound of a knock on her door made her perk up a little. Shifting up from her bed she walked over to the door, making sure to even out her dress and everything looked okay. Even though she was comfortable around Luke, she still wanted to look nice. Opening the door she smiled as she saw Luke on the other side, “Hey,” she said stepping forward to hug him. “How have you been?” she said as she tilted her head to the side looking up at him.
